Our process
How We Work Through a Water Damage Project
A structured sequence from the first conversation to the final review, with readings guiding each decision along the way.
- 01
Initial discussion
We talk through what happened, what you can see and what has already been done at the property.
- 02
Property assessment
An on-site walkthrough of affected rooms, materials and access points, including the level below.
- 03
Moisture detection and mapping
Meters and thermal imaging define how far moisture has travelled beyond the visible area.
- 04
Standing-water extraction
Portable and truck-mounted extraction removes surface water and water held in carpet and pad.
- 05
Structural drying and monitoring
Air movers and dehumidifiers are positioned, then readings are recorded and adjusted over time.
- 06
Cleaning and material assessment
Affected surfaces are cleaned and each material is evaluated for drying, cleaning or removal.
- 07
Repairs and final review
Removed materials are rebuilt where required and we review the completed scope with you.
Every project requires an individual assessment. Building age, materials, water category, elapsed time and access all change the work involved, so we do not apply a fixed timeline or scope to a property before seeing it.
Measurement
Readings Decide When Drying Is Finished
Drying is not judged by appearance or by the number of days equipment has been running.
- Dry reference readings are taken from unaffected material of the same type.
- Affected materials are read at fixed points on each visit.
- Air temperature and relative humidity are logged alongside material readings.
- Equipment is repositioned when an area dries unevenly.
- Completion is recorded with a final set of readings.
