The first conversation establishes what happened, when it started, how large the affected area appears and whether the source is controlled. That information shapes what equipment and crew size the site needs.

Assessment defines the scope

An on-site assessment looks past the visible damage. Adjacent rooms, the level below and shared assemblies all get checked, because water rarely respects room boundaries.

Extraction, then drying

Mechanical extraction removes far more water than evaporation, so it always comes first. Drying then becomes a controlled process of airflow, dehumidification and measurement.

Drying is judged by readings, not by a calendar. Materials are considered dry when they match unaffected reference areas of the same material.

Cleaning and material decisions

Each affected material is evaluated individually. Saturation level, water category and elapsed time all influence whether something is dried, cleaned or removed.

Repairs and review

Reconstruction follows verified dryness. The project closes with a walkthrough of the completed scope and the documentation gathered along the way.
